This shows exactly what I think about the school system. It raises a question on whether fairness or equality are better, especially with standardized tests. Some people are better at writing essays to prove a point. Some would rather make a series of slides, pictures, or songs. Some would even be better at writing a mathematical or logical proof to show their abilities and opinions. But, with people and society being what they are, the only successful learners will be those who believe in standardization and progress at a speed that their predecessors find most suitable.
Shhh
do you hear that?
It’s the sound of millions of suburban white teenage girls clicking away on facebook to prepare their “Summerr 2012 babyy” photo albums
Heat. Noise. Mosquitoes. Happy children. Waking up to birds. Insects. Just plain weird crap. Allergies. Itches. “Spring Fever” (it’s all Placebo). Gang fights. Standardized tests. Final exams. Humidity. Uglies in too short shorts. Excessive colors. Reality shows. Excited children. Celebration….
The day we fret about the future is the day we leave our childhood behind.
